Welcome to “Music Night at Murrells Field” on Saturday 22nd June 2024

Join us for a live music extravaganza with a festival vibe, right here in Barnham Village. Our headline act, Pure Queen, are sure to delight and entertain. Supported by a host of other live music acts, including Tex’s Rockabilly Riot, Murdoch’s Crazy Eyes and the Little Big Band. It’s a fun filled night for all the family from 5pm till 11pm at Murrells Field next to Barnham Community hall on Yapton Road.

We have selected some top talent to entertain you for the evening. With every penny you spend you will be reaping the rewards in your local community for the future; with all funds raised from the night going towards Barnham Community Trust.

Also on the night we have a live DJ to fill the dance floor with tunes between our live acts so you will be on your feet the whole evening!

Bring some chairs, even bring a picnic if you wish, let’s make a night of it!

OUR HOSTS

To get the party started, and keep it going as the bands change over, we’ve got the sensational Nigel Smith joining us for the evening as compere. With many years experience in the businesses, he’s sure to get you on your feet.

There will be a fully stocked and licensed cash/card bar, ensuring you won't going thirsty. We sell a great selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks at better-than-pub prices.

A selection of hot food outlets to satisfy all tastes so everyone can grab a bite to eat.

THE VENUE

Murrell’s Field, adjacent to the Barnham Community Hall is a great venue for live music. An expanse of well-kept grass, along with all the facilities you’d expect from a large community hall.

Toilets will be provided throughout the night in the village hall, with wheelchair access.

We’ll have a huge festival stage and a great sound system to ensure you hear the music just as the artists intended.

Check out our contact page for travel details to and from Barnham for the night, along with directions. Murrells Field is only a 5minute walk from Barnham train station, making our venue easily accessible. Plenty of car parking is available at Murrells Field for those wishing to drive.

There's a great kid's playground on-site for children of all ages and plenty of room to roam safely. With our dedicated security team and staff everywhere, you'll know they're safe wherever they are...

ADMISSION

Gates open at 5.00pm. Come along, enjoy the building atmosphere, get something to eat and socialise with your friends over a few drinks.

SET TIMES

With our support acts kicking things off at 5.30pm , don't be late! Our headline act is scheduled to perform at 9.30pm. All music will be finished by 11pm.

TRAVEL & PARKING

Barnham's an easy village to get to and there will be on-site parking available. This can be accessed along Church Lane (by the Murrell Arms) and will be clearly signposted. There is also ample parking in the village both at the station and behind the Co-op in the centre of the village. However, why not "let the train take the strain"? Barnham has excellent rail links from all along the South Coast and London.

TICKETING

Tickets are offered for purchase online, on a strictly "first come, first served" basis. Each ticket entitles one person aged 13 or over access to the event. Children U12 can enter for free.

FOOD

We've a variety of excellent caterers who'll be on site selling a range of sweet and savoury hot food at great value prices. However, if you'd prefer, please feel free to bring along a picnic for yourselves and your party.

DISABLED ACCESS

This event is 100% accessible. We have disabled parking at the front of the hall (please access from Yapton Road, making sure you bring your blue badge). From there, it's level, hard-standing access to our patio area, where you and your group will be able to enjoy a great view of the stage. We have disabled toilets available. We’ll go above and beyond to make sure our event is open to all so if you have any specific needs please contact us.

​ANIMALS

Animals are welcome but must be kept under control at all times (ie. dogs remain on lead) and be aware that loud music will be playing throughout the event. If you are the owner of an animal considered to be in distress or creating a nuisance, you will be asked to leave the event.

ENTRY & SECURITY

Entry will be granted to anyone with a valid ticket. Security staff will be available and patrolling the site throughout the evening. Bag searches may be carried out on entry. We will have excellent first aid facilities available for any incidents requiring medical attention.

ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES

Alcohol will be available at the event from our licensed bars. Cash and card payments will be accepted. As usual, anyone appearing to be under the age of 25 will be required to present valid ID to the bar staff to establish their age for the purposes of alcohol purchase. If you wish to bring your own alcoholic/other drinks, you may do so. Each adult will be permitted to bring a moderate quantity of alcohol on site, limited to a single carrier bag each. Please only bring plastic drinking vessels (preferably recyclable), take care with glass bottles for safety reasons and ensure that you clear up after yourselves, making use of the on-site waste/recycling facilities.

WEATHER

We'll be hoping for good weather but if the heavens open, don't worry, we've got you covered, literally. There will be space to hide under cover in the community hall. You could always bring a pop-up gazebo to hide under for you and your party.

PROFITS

This event is organised and run by BECT (Barnham and Eastergate Community Trust). All the staff at the event, with the exception of the bands and professional security team, are volunteers. All profits will go straight back into the local community.
